Match the track to the edition
Original language identifies the work, not every available dub or subtitle. Look in the viewing player’s audio and subtitle menu. Different offers may carry different tracks.
For television, check the selected season. Language coverage can differ across a longer show.
Keep words readable
Where supported, adjust text size or background for bright and dark scenes. Captions can identify sounds and speakers as well as spoken words.
If words appear twice, check whether both the player and device captions are enabled. Keep the layer that serves your needs.
Timing problems
Confirm the episode and track first. A fixed delay differs from text that gradually drifts. Use timing controls where supplied or select another available track.
Rewind a missed line instead of opening a detailed scene explanation that might reveal later events.
